The founders of Prairie Punk Press (PPP), Neckbone and Jerbear, met in Wichita, Kan., in the mid 1990's. Both were involved heavily in the (at that time) very small punk rock scene forming in Kansas and Missouri towns and cities like Wichita, Lawrence, Manhattan, Topeka and the Kansas City Metro Area.
Even though they listened to different types of punk music, they became inseparable by the late 1990's when they became roommates in Kansas City. They both currently live in the U.S. Midwest.
Neckbone and Jerbear started the Prairie Punk Press in 2023 but didn't begin the first podcast until 2024 with "A Prairie Punk House Companion". Now they're trying this whole multimedia online community thing. Let's see where that goes.
The goal of PPP is to provide various free multimedia entertainment and resources including podcasts, print publications, videos, books and other forms of media to the punk community. Nearly all of these will also be by the punk community. Though based in and focusing on the U.S. Midwest, PPP hopes to spread resources and community to punks and anarchists all over the world.
All podcasts and other resources will be accessible from the dropdown menu of this site. Don't forget to buy some merch, donate or visit one of our friend sites!
