A Prairie Punk House Companion-OUT NOW!
Neckbone and Jerbear discuss the punk scene in Kansas and Missouri from the late 1990's to mid 2000's. They discuss their origins in Wichita, Kan. and also the punk houses of Lawrence, Kan. and Kansas City, Mo. Our hosts talk not only about the houses that made the scene, but also the local bands, and the bands that inspired them from all over the world. Neckbone and Jerbear reserve the right to veer wildly off topic whenever they please. New episodes are released biweekly.
Originally a supplemental spin-off of A Prairie Punk House Companion, Punk Movie Review, also known as PMR Occasional, is an irregularly released (generally monthly) review of punk rock movies. That could mean it's about punk music, it has a punk theme, or it has a punk director or cast. We play pretty fast and loose with the definition honestly. Each movie is rated on a scale of how punk it is AND how good it is.
DIY movie making is possible. Go Film Yourself is a platform for Neckbone and Jerbear, and lots of other people, to pitch movie ideas and interview people who have tried their hand at movie making. Hosts and guests alike can bring in scripts and treatments to be read to the audience and acted out. Fans can send their scripts in as well to be read by the hosts. Neckbone and Jerbear also reserve the right to discuss other movies that have influenced them (and why). This is a movie podcast after all! This podcast is ongoing and will not end until our hosts get sick of making it.
